Work from Melbourne Art Fair and exhibition 'Yellow'
Work from exhibitions 'Disconnect' and 'Grey Area'
2021 - present. Series of saturated fruit and insect still life.
2019 - 'Introspect' is a series of photorealistic oil paintings exploring melancholia and self-analysis. Each painting captures a stillness; a moment of contemplation as the figure processes their thoughts.
2018 Continuing to focus on a female figure as the subject, this new body of work looks at the idea of change. With an eye for fine detail and a keen interest in light and shadow, Bronwyn produces photorealistic oil paintings that often achieve an ethereal tone.
2017 This new series of oil paintings sees a girl leaving the house - this represents a change of state of mind, scene, or even the beginning of a new lifestyle. Paintings on their own but once viewed together they display a short narrative expressing the concept of moving forward to new experiences. Continuing to work with a sole figure and inspired by contrasting light and shadow, these paintings take a new but not too sudden turn on previous works.
2016 - present Forever inspired by a love for nature, colour and light, this new collection of paintings intend to capture and show off the moments that pass too quickly to appreciate in full, such as the last light from the setting sun or dancing shadows. The scenes create a dreamlike atmosphere aimed to allow the viewer to escape into that peaceful moment.
2015 - present. This series is a work in progress.
Selected portrait and commissioned paintings.

2014 - 15 Craving solitude and silence, this new series is a response to the pressures felt throughout the year. Featuring women in the pine forest, the works portray a melancholic atmosphere and while there is a cold and lonely mood to the paintings, the subjects give the impression of being pensive rather than troubled. Though the paintings do not all feature my face, they are indirect self portraits. Previous works have been influenced more by the fantasy of a desired state of mind, laying in the sun without worries. This series is more an accurate depiction of the way I deal with stress, escaping to nature where I feel most comfortable, to relieve the tension.
Series of commissions. For enquires about commissions please email email@example.com
